About the event
The Fourth Portal newspaper focused on the versatility of paper and the papermaking industry along the Thames, inspired by the work of artists responding to a Fourth Portal call-out during the summer 2023.
The evening invites all the artists who submitted artwork to join us to view the complete exhibition, collect the newspaper and meet each other along with anyone interested in the exhibition, papermaking or the papermaking industry.

The Versatility of Paper was initiated by artist-in-resident, Dawn Cole during summer 2023, inspired by the 1953 call-out by Bowater, Northfleet.
