About the event
HERITAGE OPEN DAYS (8-17 SEPT 2023)
This ground-breaking work-in-progress forms part of our developing hybrid Fourth Portal Lucia House, offering an alternative experience to virtual software like Zoom or Teams.
Employing an abundance of artistic licence, Lucia Collective's visual director Val Wardlaw blended aspects of St Andrews with other influences possibly drawn on by Victorian architects who originally envisioned the St Andrew’s Waterside Church Mission in Gravesend.
It is important to remember the chapel was no more than a shed next to a pub (now the Mission House) in 1875. This virtual version is only another incarnation of the building.
Lead engineering developer John Kozak will be introducing fun aspects to the experience that encourage new ways of viewing a heritage building.
Entering the virtual St Andrew’s Waterside Church Mission is free, however, an email will be required to enter.
- Each computer entry will require a separate email address.
- We have a limit of 50 people in the virtual St Andrew's at one time.
- No ticket is required to enter the real-world Fourth Portal
- There is no charge to enter, free.
